It was great taking part in a retreat there. Everything was just fantastic.
Spent 4 days there for a training and loved it!
Rooms were nice but bed and pillow not comfortable
One bathroom for the whole floor
Location needs a car or bus to get there
Nature around is amazing
This is a place for children only. This place should realy not accept regular guest because they do not cater to them at all. They are layed up to cater for school classes ONLY. We came there at 1730 after having hiked 21 km. We were showed our rooms and toilet and showers were in the hall.sgared. Then we were told "abend brot" is at 1800 sharp so no time to shower. We get there, and we get 5 slices of bread that was not good bread, some slices of cheese. Their web page states thst the kitchen is open til 2000. Please do not tell people your kitchen is open til 2000 if you are gona throw a piece of bread at them at 1800 o'clock. We were very disapointed. There is also nothing to see there... There is no museum or the like. We strongly do not recomend this place to any one other than school classes. But i think the 30 first graders that was there had a great time juding by the screaming and shouting
Nice castle with ample parking and living quarters. I've been here twice, once when nothing was going on and once when some boy/ girl scouts medieval fair was happening. This castle has a real and historical dungeon with some tragic history. And the tower climb is great exercise with rewarding views on top.
Really well managed historical place for the public I assume by the state!
I can not express in words how it feels to be in this place .||Hostel in the castle , built upon a time , on top of a hill , with great views and a lookout point that enchants .||Accommodation is solid, as in the university. Given the …
We visited as part of a group, the setting is superb and the castle has been tastefully renovated.|The rooms are clean and tidy as are the communal rooms.|Breakfast was as expected in a hostel although the evening meal was a little lacking …
You can ask the stuff literally anything and in 9 out of 10 cases it won't be a problem.
The castle is used as a youth hostel but it's also worth a short visit while walking through the area.
